Canada’s Highway 401 in Ontario is one of the country’s
busiest roads. The government announced this week that a small portion of
Highway 401 in eastern Ontario will get some needed repairs.
The Ministry of Transportation of Ontario announced a $17.7 million
repair to a 15 kilometer stretch, or 9.3 miles, in the Township of Glengarry from County Road 2 to the Ontario border with the province of Quebec.
Four bridges are on the list for repair as well as two interchanges.
Work begins in the spring and should end by the end of the fall
construction season. Traffic will be reduced to one lane from June to
September, according to Ontario officials.
