'Expediter News Break' welcomes Lockridge as new host

Veteran trucking journalist Evan Lockridge is the new host and producer of “Expediter News Break” on XM Satellite Radio’s Open Road Channel 171.

The daily segments are scheduled to begin airing during the “Dave Nemo Show” beginning Monday, Feb. 13, and will be designed specifically for truckers in the expediting end of the transportation industry. Nemo’s show airs from 7 a.m. to noon CST, Monday through Friday. The reports from Lockridge will also be available on the Web at expeditersonline.com.

“Evan knows the pulse of the business, has a solid connection with the trucking industry, and we are glad to have him on board,” Lawrence McCord, ExpeditersOnline general manager, said in a press release.

Lockridge, who is based in Birmingham, AL, will report on news that relates to the trucking industry, with special emphasis on legislation and regulations that affect expedited and truckload freight. Lockridge is a freelance journalist and a special correspondent for Land Line Magazine and “Land Line Now” on XM Satellite Radio’s Open Road Channel 171.
