Trucker charged after discarding bottles of urine

A 54-year-old trucker was charged Christmas Eve for allegedly discarding bottles of urine in a residential neighborhood in Des Moines , IA.

An officer spotted Reno Tobler, 54, of Harvard , NE , throwing something over a fence in the suburb of Clive, according to the Des Moines Register.

The officer stopped Tobler, who later admitted to littering. Police then found three plastic bottles containing urine on the residential side of the fence. The trucker told police he used the bottles while driving and discarded them when he stopped. Police found similar containers in the man’s truck.

The act netted Tobler an arrest. He posted $500 bond at Polk County Jail and was released. He had no prior arrests.

Des Moines area authorities told the Register they have been called to service for eight to 10 similar calls since fall.
