Expedite Forum planned in Akron

| Friday, July 22, 2005

ExpressTrucking.com, founded by OOIDA member Linda Yates, will be hosting an Expedite Professional’s Forum on Saturday, July 23, from 6 to 10 p.m. in Akron, OH, home of its parent company UFS Insight Inc.

“Since its inception in 1999, the ExpressTrucking.com portal continues to provide the premier destination for education on the Expedite Industry,” said Yates, president of UFS Insight Inc., and author of the book “B.E.S.T of Express Trucking.”

“There’s so many topics that are a concern to drivers,” Yates says, “including what to look for in a good lease, cargo security, and other issues drivers are running into in real life. There’s a lot of misconceptions about crossing the border for instance. Attendees will have access to F.A.S.T applications. Plus, there will be information on various products and services aimed to increase driver safety and profitability.”

Yates says there will be barbeque, hamburgers, hot dogs and beverages, too.

It’s free, but pre-registration is required. Anyone interested in attending should e-mail expresstrucking.com or call (877) 878-4437.
