Trucker awarded $4.8 million for pallet accident

A jury in Los Angeles has awarded a trucker $4.8 million because a 1-ton pallet crushed his foot.

Anthony Clintron of Haleyville, AL, was adjusting the pallet after leaving Los Angeles Machinery Moving in Madera, CA, when it fell on his foot. He accused a worker at the station of not properly securing the load, The Associated Press reported.

Clintron’s foot was saved, but he has been unable to work since the 2002 accident, The AP said.
