Law enforcement agencies in Virginia, Maryland and Washington, DC, are on the lookout for aggressive drivers of all vehicles this month.

Through June 25, the agencies are participating in the second wave of Operation Smooth Operator, a multi-agency enforcement initiative aimed at curbing aggressive behavior on the road.

Police officers will be on the lookout for drivers who tailgate, speed, run red lights and exhibit other types of aggression.

The first wave of the program took place in May and resulted in 55,000 citations.
