A trucking company in Illinois is moving its entire road operation to biodiesel.

Norrenberns Truck Service of Nashville, IL, announced that it would run B11 – 11 percent biodiesel – fuel in all of its 162 trucks to help support the local farming industry, according to a release by the Illinois Farm Bureau.

To help advocate for the use of the alternative fuel source, the trucks will feature special promotional graphics on the sides of their trailers.

“American trucking fleets need to know about this,” NOTS Vice President of Business Development Kevin Brink, told Farm Bureau. “They need to push this across the country, working with their states and seeing what (incentives) are available.”

NOTS said in the report that its operation uses approximately 2.5 million gallons of diesel fuel a year.
