The popular country
group Sawyer Brown will headline Kenworth Truck Co.’s 17th annual “Trucker
Appreciation Concert” Friday, April 1, at the 2005 Mid-America Trucking Show in
recently debuted a new album featuring the song “Mission Temple Fireworks
Stand,” which made Billboard’s Country Singles Chart. The group appeared on
“The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” in December. The award-winning band has had
numerous hits during the past 20 years.
truckers will once again fill Freedom Hall for the annual Kenworth concert,
which serves to express Kenworth’s appreciation for their hard work and
dedication to their profession throughout the year. We look forward to treating
the trucking community to a great night of musical entertainment with Sawyer
Brown,” said Steve Gilligan, Kenworth’s general marketing manager.
Amy Dalley, who has
a popular new single “I Would Cry”, is scheduled to open for Sawyer Brown. The
concert will start at 7:30 p.m. in the Kentucky Fair and Exposition Centernext to the Mid-America Trucking Show.
Brown concert tickets will be available to CDL holders only –limit of two
tickets per person. Tickets, while supplies last, will be distributed in the
South Hall Lobby, Booth No. 2 on both Thursday, March 31, starting at 1 p.m.,
and again on Friday, April 1, starting at 10 a.m.
As well as
exhibiting the latest Kenworth products at the Mid-America Trucking Show,
Kenworth will show the latest Sawyer Brown music videos in the Kenworth booth,
No. 3410, located in the South Hall.
