Tractor, tanker stolen near Houston

Authorities are asking for help to find a stolen tractor and tanker trailer that were reported stolen Monday, Jan. 17, from a restaurant parking lot in Stafford, TX.

Although the tractor and tanker trailer were stolen in two separate incidents, they have since been seen together in the Houston area. They were stolen from the Luby’s Restaurant at 1057 W. Airport Blvd. in Stafford, which is about 20 miles southwest of Houston.

The 2002 tanker, which belongs to Transportation Leasing Resources, is white fiberglass and has a New Jersey tag, number T38N4A. The tractor is owned by Schneider National and is an orange 2005 conventional Freightliner. The tractor is number 41996 and has an Illinois baseplate, number LN35657.

Officials with the Stafford Police Department said the owner of the tanker said it was empty when it was taken.
