Seat parts in some Peterbilt 387s subject to recall

| Wednesday, December 01, 2004

The National Highway Transportation Safety Administration recently announced a recall involving the Peterbilt 387.

On certain 2004 and 2005 Peterbilt 387s, the pivot bolts that hold the seat back frame to the seat cushion frame can loosen and possibly fracture or dislodge, causing the seat back to fail to provide full support to the driver.

Approximately 250 trucks may be affected by this recall. GRA-MAG Truck Interior Systems LLC will provide customers with repair kits that include instructions and parts to repair the seat.

Owners of Peterbilt 387s may contact GRA-MAG at (614) 875-8435 or Peterbilt at (510) 790-4013 and mention recall No. 1104E. Customers may also contact NHTSA’s auto safety hotline at 1-888-DASH-2-DOT (1-888-327-4236).
