Two Turkish truck drivers were taken hostage in Iraq Monday, Aug. 16, when the convoy they were traveling in stopped at a restaurant.

The hostages were identified as Mustafa Koksal and Durmus Kudereli of Tarsus, Turkey, according to The Associated Press.

The two were with a convoy that had just delivered bottled water to U.S. troops when it stopped at a restaurant outside the northern Iraqi city of Mosul. Four other drivers managed to escape capture by hiding.

An official for the trucking company for which the pair worked, said the company had not received any demands or threats from the kidnappers. The official asked the media to not report the name of the trucking company for fear of retribution.
