NAST show season heating up

Get those trucks buffed to a high shine. The National Association of Show Trucks has three events coming up later this month and in September.

The Road America SuperTruck Concours d’Elegance, presented by OOIDA and Peterbilt, is scheduled for Aug. 19-22, in Elkhart Lake, WI. Registration for this Truck-Lite trophy event will cut off at 8 a.m. Aug. 21, with rags down at 9 a.m. and judging commencing at 10 a.m. For more information call Chuck Kemner at (863) 605-1608.

The NAST series will continue in September with two more shows. First will be the Ninth Annual Richard Crane Memorial Truck Show set for Sept. 18-19, in St. Ignace, MI. Highlighting the show will be the Mackinac Bridge Parade of Lights sponsored by Bill Hudgins and Wilda Dodson, Sept. 18.

A variety of categories and prizes will be sponsored by Kenworth and area Kenworth dealers, Cummins Michigan Inc., Cat Michigan, Eaton/Dana and Kewadin Casinos. For more information, call Ed Reavie at (906) 643-8087.

Wrapping up the three-show swing will be Billy Bob’s Texas Fourth Annual Truck Round Up set for Sept. 24-26, at Billy Bob’s Texas in Fort Worth, TX.
