Turkey's truckers stop deliveries to Iraq

The trade association that represents trucking companies in Turkey announced today it would no longer truck material for U.S. soldiers into Iraq, according to press reports.

The International Transporters' Association said its decision was prompted by the kidnappings of several Turkish drivers. Turkey borders northern Iraq.

A video distributed over the Internet on Aug. 2 showed a Turkish driver, which press outlets identified at Murat Yuce, being killed by militants who had kidnapped him. Two other Turkish nationals are still being held.
