OOIDA member James “Jack” Norton of Denver, NC, won a new
RigMaster Power auxiliary power unit in Rigmaster’s drawing held at the
Mid-America Trucking Show last month.
The RigMaster Power unit provides
20,000 Btu of air conditioning and
12,000 Btu of heat. RigMaster also offers 4,000 watts of 110-volt power for
electrical appliances and the truck’s block heater and a 40-amp DC alternator
that charges the truck’s batteries. It is independent from the truck’s coolant
and freon systems.
Norton’s name was randomly drawn from more than 4,000
ballots collected during the three days at MATS. The new unit will be installed
on Norton’s 1996 Peterbilt 379.
