In the ongoing Ontelaunee Transport Services case, two additional commercial drivers were fined by a U.S. District Court judge in Philadelphia for making false statements in their driver's daily logbook, the DOT's Office of the Inspector General announced.

David Thompson was fined $2,000 Jan. 13, and Sean Eck, $1,000 on Jan. 15.

The men are among seven Ontelaunee truck drivers who pleaded guilty to falsifying the entries to conceal the fact that they were driving over the maximum number of hours allowed under Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations. Both men pleaded guilty in October 2003.
