The average U.S. retail price of diesel fuel increased to
$1.486 from the previous average of $1.481, the Department of Energy reported –
marking a three-week rise.
The highest average prices are in California, at $1.691 a
gallon; on the West Coast, where the price is $1.639; and in New England, where
the price is $1.623. The lowest prices are on the Gulf Coast at $1.437 and in
the Lower Atlantic region, where the average price is $1.434.
Other average prices: the Central Atlantic region, where the
price is $1.602; the Rocky Mountain region, where the price is $1.526; $1.454
in the Midwest; and $1.493 on the East Coast.
