Construction restricts traffic along U.S. 26

U.S. Highway 26 between Cannon Beach Junction, OR, and Necanicum Junction, OR, will be reduced to one lane in each direction with width restrictions beginning Sept. 22, according to a trucking industry alert issued by Oregon Department of Transportation.

In addition to being down to one lane in each direction along the Mail Creek Culvert section of U.S. 26, load widths will be restricted to 14 feet, 6 inches during the lane closure. Loads requiring single-trip permits for widths beyond 14 feet, 6 inches will be rerouted around the area.

ODOT anticipates reopening the lanes by Oct. 31.
