Diesel prices dip

The national average, at-the-pump diesel price decreased to $1.423 from $1.432 a gallon, the Energy Information Administration reported June 23.

The highest price in the nation was in California, at $1.626 a gallon.

The dollar-fifty mark is still found in New England, where the price is $1.556; the Central Atlantic region, where the price is $1.540; and on the West Coast, where the price is $1.563. The lowest average prices are on the Gulf Coast, at $1.365, and in the Lower Atlantic region, at $1.370.

The remaining regions' prices per gallon are as follows: the Midwest, at $1.401; the Rocky Mountain region, where the price is $1.448; and on the East Coast, where the price is $1.423.
