Diesel prices continue decline

On-highway diesel prices declined for the 11th week in a row, according to figures released May 26. The national average, at-the-pump diesel price decreased to $1.434 a gallon, the Energy Information Administration reported.

Three areas still retain the dollar-fifty mark: New England, where the price is $1.576; the Central Atlantic, where the price is $1.573; and California, where the price is $1.526. The lowest average price of $1.369 is in the Gulf Coast region.

The remaining regions' prices per gallon are as follows: the Midwest, at $1.424; the Lower Atlantic states, at $1.408; the West Coast, at $1.483; the Rocky Mountain region, at $1.461; and the East Coast, where the price is $1.465.
