MS Society needs professional truckdrivers

| Friday, April 18, 2003

The National Capital Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society in Washington, DC, is seeking truckdrivers who will volunteer to drive trucks for set-up and clean up of its 21st Annual Snow Valley MS 150 Bike Tour.

The chapter had previously used non-truckers for the task, but would like to use professional drivers to lessen the likelihood of any mishaps.

During the bike tour, which is scheduled for May 17 and 18 in Northern Virginia, the trucks will ferry supplies along the route. Most of the trucks are 16- and 24-foot rental straight trucks.

The money raised from the pledges funds research projects and client programs for people with multiple sclerosis. To volunteer or for more information, call Kristina Price at (202) 296-5363.
