Caterpillar Inc. is displaying five of its 2003 ACERT engines at the Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, KY, this week.

The five engines with ACERT technology include the C7, C9, C11, C13 and C15, all of which will meet EPA emissions regulations without sacrificing engine performance, the company said. The C7 and C9 have already received EPA certification.

Caterpillar expects to accumulate more than 10 million miles of testing on engines with ACERT technology by the third quarter of 2003. ACERT technology will also be used to meet future emissions regulations for Caterpillar's entire diesel engine product line, including construction and mining machines and power generation units.
