Border Protection inspectors in Laredo, TX, seized a load of marijuana
March 9 valued at more than $10 million, the largest in port history,
the Laredo Morning Times reported.
seized 548 bundles containing a total of 10,530 pounds of marijuana.
The marijuana has an estimated street value of $10.5 million.
no arrest, but an investigation is under way, officials said.
The seizure occurred at World Trade Bridge when inspectors targeted
a 1996 Freightliner tractor hauling a shipment of synthetic wall
panels for a secondary examination.
