According to Transport Topics, the two largest U.S. shipper organizations are heading into treacherous times for transportation absent most of their top executive positions.

The trucking publication reports that three of the top four executives at the National Industrial Transportation League (NITL) have either resigned or been cut loose this year.

Meanwhile, the National Small Shipments Traffic Conference (NASSTRAC) has been operating without an executive director, its top paid position, for almost six months.
