A twice-delayed vote in the Colorado Senate on a bill to shift funds from mass transit to highway construction in Colorado has now been delayed a third time.

SB74, sponsored by Senate President John Andrews, R-Centennial, would shift millions of dollars from the Regional Transportation District to highway construction, according to The Denver Business Journal. The money is paying, in part, for a massive light rail project in the Denver metropolitan area.

The first vote was scheduled for Feb. 26. It was delayed till March 7, then to March 14. The second reading in the Senate is now scheduled for Aug. 1, 2003.
