Pilot Travel Centers has completed its purchase of Williams TravelCenters, the company announced recently, taking control of 60 Williams locations in 15 states.

The company will put the Pilot name on the locations immediately.

Pilot announced Oct. 30 that it planned to purchase Williams, a subsidiary of Tulsa, OK, energy firm Williams Co. The combined operation will employ roughly 12,500 people and will operate 295 locations in 37 states.

James A. Haslam III, president and CEO of Pilot, told Land Line previously that his company planned to sell several of the locations involved in the deal, “either because they don’t fit into the Pilot network or because we have duplication.” However, he stressed the company did not plan to close any locations.

Pilot Travel Centers LLC is a joint venture of Knoxville, TN-based Pilot Corp. and Findlay, OH-based Marathon Ashland Petroleum LLC.
