When
Anna Nicole Smith chose her date from five perspective bachelors
Sunday night, she went for the trucker.
E!
Online’s episode guide for “The Anna Nicole Show” described the
winner, trucker Mark Norris, as a father of two who speaks three
languages and can drive anything – which makes him perfect for Anna
Nicole, because she can’t drive at all.
The
live episode was the season premiere of Smith’s program, which airs
on the E! Entertainment Network, a cable network available on many
systems and satellite services nationwide. The program follows the
“real life” events surrounding Anna Nicole Smith, a former Playboy
Magazine Playmate who at the age of 26 turned heads nationwide by
marrying 90-year-old oil tycoon J. Howard Marshall II. The very
elderly and rich Marshall died a scant year after their marriage
began, and some Hollywood and press wags made less-than-polite comments
about Smith being a “gold digger.”
The
episode, which was set up as a takeoff on other so-called “reality
programs,” included Paul Hogan, the butler from reality show “Joe
Millionaire.” At one point, one of the contestant bachelors called
Smith “Trista,” the star’s name in the reality show “The Bachelorette.”
At
42, Norris was also the oldest of the five bachelors, although,
as a trucker, he is not likely rich.
Hmmm?
