On Tuesday, Lucas Oil, well known to professional truckers for its heavy duty product line, announced the company will sponsor two time World Champion, pro bull rider, Jim Sharp. Sharp is one of bull riding's most seasoned athletes and pulls in over six figures annually.

Sharp, a Texas native became the first bull rider in the PRCA's National Finals Rodeo history to ride each of his 10 bulls during the champion-crowning event. He did it in 1988 and the record-breaking performance earned Sharp his first of two PRCA World Champion Bull Rider titles. Hedeman, PBR President and 1995 Bud Light Champion, traveled with Sharp during much of his career - a time when riding bulls for a living meant traveling to as many as 125 rodeos a year.

Today, Hedeman is one of Sharp's biggest admirers. He knows first-hand what Sharp has endured to reach legendary status in his sport of choice.

"Jim Sharp is the best rider of all the guys I've ever seen," states Hedeman. "Looking at all the guys ride, Jim has an uncanny ability to ride any kind of bull under any kind of circumstance, no matter what. There has never been a bull that could throw him off when he was at the top of his game."

Sharp's nerves of steel make him one of PBR's coolest under-pressure competitors; a competitive advantage that may lead him to his first PBR Championship this year in Las Vegas.
