Westminster, MA, say what they feared was a pipe bomb turned out
to be a truckdriver's tire gauge. The trucker reportedly left
the foot-long gauge atop a public telephone outside a convenience
store July 31.

caps. Police and fire officials then closed a portion of the street
for more than two hours and evacuated the area within 300 feet
of the store.
