For the first
time in several weeks, the national average price per-gallon for
diesel fuel dropped, declining to $1.303 this week from $1.311
last week. Prices dropped in all regions of the country, except
in the Lower Atlantic region, where the current price is $1.398
per gallon compared to $1.391 last week.
In New England,
the price is $1.306 and was $1.314; in the Central Atlantic states,
the price this week is $1.396 and was $1.398 last week; in the
Lower Atlantic, the price is $1.259 and was $1.273; the price
in the Midwest this week is $1.291 and was $1.302 last week; the
Gulf Coast price is $1.269 and was $1.277; the price in the Rocky
Mountain area is $1.332 and was $1.334; the West Coast price is
$1.376 and was $1.382; and in California, the price went from
$1.427 last week to $1.423 this week.
