The regional competition designed to pick the best of the best to go on to the national competition this fall will be held at the Flying J Travel Plaza in London, Ontario.

For more than 50 years, the championships have provided a forum for professional truckdrivers to display their skills and encourage an active interest in safety and courtesy on the highways.

Challenging tests are used to measure the level of driver expertise, knowledge of the rules of the road, safety, courtesy and efficiency in the annual competition. With truckers vying for supremacy in six classes: Step Van (new Class for 2002), Straight Truck, Single-Single, Single-Tandem, Tandem-Tandem, and Train.

Regional, private and company championships are held annually throughout Ontario. These championships are open to drivers working in the private and independent contractor sector.
