Road crews will shut down I-94 ramps to I-75 in Detroit for reconstruction starting Monday, July 8. All ramps are scheduled to open to traffic by Labor Day weekend.
The reconstruction project will close the ramps from westbound I-94 to southbound I-75, and from eastbound I-94 to northbound I-75. Detours will be posted for each ramp closure.
Traffic from westbound I-94 to southbound I-75 will be detoured to eastbound I-96 to southbound I-75. Traffic from eastbound I-94 to northbound I-75 will be detoured to southbound I-75 to Mack Avenue U-turn bridge to access northbound I-75. On Wednesday, crews will shut down the westbound I-94 exit ramp to Beaubien St.
In conjunction to the ramp reconstruction, drivers can expect intermittent lane closures on northbound and southbound I-75 and I-94 for bridge deck demolition. These closures are scheduled from July 8-12, starting at 6 p.m. and ending at 5 a.m. each day.
