Sleep societies meet in Seattle

The annual meeting of the Associated Professional Sleep Societies will meet this week in Seattle, WA, to discuss sleep disorders. Among topics to be discussed are the effect of sleeplessness on health, safety and productivity.

Top topics on the agenda of the 4,000 sleep doctors and researchers gathered at the meeting will include studies on lack of sleep as a contributing factor in heart disease, high blood pressure, stroke, diabetes, weakened immunity system, sexual dysfunction, obesity and traffic accidents.
