It wasn't perfect, but winning the Coca Cola 600 last weekend at Charlotte, NC, was still a big victory for Mark Martin and company. Martin is the owner of J Mar Express, Searcy, AR.

On Tuesday, Martin's crew chief was fined $50,000 by NASCAR because Martin's winning car failed to pass post-race inspection. Martin's car was found to be about an eighth of an inch below the minimum height requirement of 51 inches.

Despite a $50,000 penalty against Ben Leslie, Martin's victory and points stand. This is the second time this season a Roush Racing car has been fined for being too low. After a February victory at Rockingham, Matt Kenseth's crew was fined $30,000 because his Ford was too low. Last year, Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s team was fined $25,000 when his Chevrolet was too low in inspection after he won at Talladega.
