Mexican authorities have located a truck carrying 10 tons of deadly cyanide that was stolen last weekend, Reuters reported. Part of its cargo is missing, police said.
The truck was found south of Mexico City, without some of the 96 chemical drums originally on board. The truck was on its way to deliver the cyanide to a mining company, local media reported.
Police officials could not specify how much of the sodium cyanide, used for cleaning precious metals, was missing. Meanwhile, experts were checking the area for contamination after discovering one of the drums opened inside the truck, the police said.
