Trucker Buddy International, a nonprofit organization that matches professional drivers who correspond by mail with elementary classrooms, announced J. J. Keller and Associates Inc. has joined Kenworth and ArvinMeritor as recent Silver Level Sponsors.

Mary Murvine, J.J. Keller and Associates' foundation administrator said the company "is pleased to be able to provide funding to Trucker Buddy to support their continuing efforts to facilitate positive mentoring relationships between our nation¹s transportation professionals and school age children."

Long-time corporate sponsor Kenworth has renewed its commitment for the program. "Kenworth has been a proud supporter of Trucker Buddy for the past seven years," said Steve Gilligan, Kenworth's general marketing manager. "We support Trucker Buddy's objectives of positively impacting thousands of children annually through its pen pal program and enhancing the trucking industry's image."

ArvinMeritor has also renewed its commitment. "Our company continues to support the fine work of the Trucker Buddy organization," said Mike Pennington, Arvin Meritor's senior director of global marketing systems. "Simply put, we must clearly demonstrate to our country's young people the professionalism and integrity of the people in the trucking industry, as well as to teach them the clear and strong benefits of a growing and progressing trucking industry."

Trucker Buddy is supported solely by donations from sponsors, such as Platinum level DCSTrucks.com and Gold Level contributors; OOIDA, Delphi, the Midnight Cowboy Radio Network and Silver Level donors: ArvinMeritor, J.J. Keller and Associates, Kenworth, TruckDriver.com, TCA and Wal-Mart. For more information about the program, visit http://www.truckerbuddy.org or call 1-800-MY BUDDY (692-8339).
