Diesel prices level off in most regions

The national U.S. average price of diesel fuel stayed steady at $1.32 per gallon this week, the same average price posted last week. East Coast prices matched the national average this week at $1.32 per gallon - also the same price-per-gallon as last week.

Meanwhile, prices rose in the Central Atlantic states from $1.40 last week to $1.41 per gallon this week and the Rocky Mountain area saw an increase this week to $1.38 per gallon from $1.35 last week.

In the New England states, prices stabilized at $1.39 per gallon this week and last week. In the Lower Atlantic region, prices stayed at $1.28 per gallon this week and last week. Prices in California decreased from $1.46 per gallon last week to $1.45 cents per gallon this week, but remained the highest among all regions. In the Midwest, the price was $1.31 per gallon last week compared to $1.31 cents per gallon this week.
