Man arrested for threatening Bush with stolen truckload of propane

A Kentucky man driving a stolen truck loaded with propane threatened President Bush with a 3,000-pound bomb and led the Secret Service and five other law enforcement agencies on a 20-mile highway chase in Tennessee, authorities said.

Monty Branch, of Frankfort, KY, was arrested Sunday after police punctured the truck's tires with spike strips on Interstate 75 near East Brainerd. Investigators found no bombs on the truck but said they believe Branch was referring to the truck he was driving. According to authorities, he was charged with felony evading arrest, reckless endangerment and possession of marijuana.

The truck reportedly belonged to Amerigas, based in King of Prussia, PA, where Branch worked as a delivery man. Amerigas previously reported the truck stolen.
