TMC adds pavilions to exhibition

When the Technology and Maintenance Council (TMC) meets for its annual meeting and Transportation Equipment Exhibition March 4-8 at the Greater Ft. Lauderdale (FL) Convention Center, the exhibition will introduce its technology demonstration pavilions. The exhibit display and technical session pavilions feature hands-on technical demonstrations of transportation technology.

For this first year, TMC will open the pavilions on Thursday, March 7, the last day of the exhibition. Four demonstrations are scheduled from 8:45 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. Then, four different demonstrations are scheduled between 3:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Sessions will repeat at least three times during each time period, allowing time for attendees to catch several demonstrations.

Topics for the hands-on demonstrations will be accessory, inverter and battery failure analysis displays; tire pressure and wheel torque inspection; hands-on emissions and electronics-related demonstrations; crashworthiness; air disc brakes; wheel end adjustment and maintenance; vehicle roll stability; hands-on demonstration of IT applications. In addition, various TMC study groups and exhibiting companies are organizing demonstrations.
