The Golden Age of Trucking Museum is being built off Route 188 near Middlebury, CT. The trucking shrine is scheduled to open its doors in May.

The museum will display 25 antique trucks, mostly vehicles from the 1950s. There are also a few models from the '30s, '40s, '60s and '70s. The museum will also house a media center, gift shop, interactive demonstrations and a virtual truck.

The museum was the brainchild of Richard J. Guerrera, owner of R.J. Guerrera Trucking of Naugutuck until he died in 1999. Guerrera was an avid collector of old trucks, which he stored at his trucking company.
