Iowa 80 Truckstop hosts flu shot clinic

| Wednesday, November 21, 2001

The Iowa 80 Truckstop in Walcott is hosting a clinic Dec. 6 for truckdrivers who haven't had their flu shots. The flu shot clinic is from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Banquet Room of the Iowa 80 Kitchen restaurant. Flu shots are $10 and are being administered by Work Fitness of Bettendorf, IA. Walk-ins are welcome.

People with chronic health conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, kidney disease, asthma and cancer are encouraged to get a flu shot because they are at a higher risk of serious complications from the flu. Adults and children who live with or care for others who are at high-risk of complications from the flu are encouraged to make a special effort to get a flu shot so you can stay healthy and prevent spreading the illness.
