Boyd Bros. Transportation
Inc. has reported an increase in operating revenues and profits for the third
quarter. The growth in operating revenue marks the first upturn in the company's
business since early 2000.
For the quarter ended
Sept. 30, operating revenues increased 4 percent to $32.4 million from $31.2
million last year. The flatbed-truckload hauling company reported net income
for the quarter of $230,210 compared with a net loss of $65,104 in the same
period last year.For the first nine months of 2001, operating revenues declined
3 percent to $94.3 million versus $97.6 million in the same period last year.
Net income for the first nine months of 2001 was $220,018 compared with net
income of $374,611 in the year-earlier period.
