No. 2 all-time scorer Karl Malone is on a new team. This team has nothing at
all to do with basketball.

player and former long-haul trucker Karl Malone announced on Aug. 29, at the
Delta Center that he will partner with Clear Channel Entertainment to own the
Power Forward Monster Truck Race Team. Malone will own, operate and drive a
monster truck on the U.S. Hot Rod Association's Monster Jam circuit.

is under construction and will make its debut in January at a USHA/Clear Channel
Monster Jam at the Houston Astrodome. Chad Fortune has been named official driver,
but Malone will drive during basketball's off-season. He is scheduled to race
at the Delta Center Jan. 18-19.
