Sooner State looks to end tolls

An Oklahoma House subcommittee has begun an interim study examining how to make the state's turnpikes free. The study would instruct the state's Transportation Authority to explore the plan's feasibility. The OTA warns a cut or drop in tolls could lead to higher fuel taxes in the state. Oklahoma State Rep. Chris Benge said he plans to pursue legislation to end tolls by 2028.
