Turnpike re-opens service areas

| Friday, August 31, 2001

The New Jersey Turnpike Authority re-opened two renovated service areas earlier this month in Oldmans Township. The re-openings mark the first phase of a project to completely renovate the Turnpike's 11 service areas.

Renovations at the Clara Barton and the John Fenwick service areas include modern expanded rest rooms, improved interior and exterior lighting, a new "food court" design, new fast food offerings, and new exterior designs and color schemes.

Two additional service areas, the Joyce Kilmer (located in East Brunswick) and the Vince Lombardi service areas (in Ridgefield Boro), are scheduled to re-open this fall.
