An accident in
a Virginia truckstop parking lot has led to the death of a trucker,
WSET television reported recently.
James Walker,
64, of North, SC, was headed inside the Kangaroo truckstop to pay
for his fuel about 8 a.m. Dec. 31 when another truck, whose driver
did not see Walker, started to move. The truck struck Walker and dragged
him, the report said.
State police,
quoted by the television station, said he died at the truckstop, which
is near Danville on U.S. 29, just north of the North Carolina border.
The incident was ruled an accident and no charges are expected to
be filed.
