A truck driver and his wife have some extra funds for a summer vacation.

William and Tammy Wilkinson, of Mebane, N.C., recently won $4 million on a lottery ticket, according to a news release from the North Carolina Lottery.

At first neither William nor Tammy, a waitress, could believe what they were seeing on the ticket they purchased for $20.

“I had to go inside and get my glasses, just to make sure,” William Wilkinson, a truck driver for 16 years, said in the news release.

The Wilkinsons opted to take a lump sum of $2.4 million and will receive almost $1.7 million after taxes. The couple plans to use the money to pay bills and go on a vacation.
