Oct. 16, 2006 – Investigators in southern Florida located the black Jeep Cherokee on Monday that belonged to a young family of four who were found shot to death beside the Turnpike early Friday morning.
The Jeep was found in an industrial area about 70 miles south of where the bodies were discovered near Port St. Lucie.
The victims have been identified as 29-year-old Jose Escobedo, his 25-year-old wife, Yessica, and their two boys, ages 3 and 4.
Authorities think someone who was in the vehicle murdered the family and then drove off, but aren't saying what led them to that conclusion.
