OOIDA TRACER ALERT: Truck, reefer stolen in NJ

Tuesday, May 18, 2010 – Posted at 12:44 p.m. CST – Police in New Jersey say a thief or thieves stole a truck and trailer from a food bank location early this week.

A white 2001 Freightliner FLD tractor with a 1995 Great Dane reefer was taken from the Food Bank of South New Jersey, located at John Tipton Road in Pennsauken, NJ. The truck has a New Jersey license plate AK326N, with “R&R Trans LLC, Pennsauken, NJ” painted on both doors.

The white reefer has “P&P” painted on both sides, as well as a blue stripe.

TRACER, the Transportation Alert Communication and Emergency Response program, was launched in 2009 by OOIDA. The program is a two-way communication system that sends alerts to members and coordinates information received from trucking members.

Members can sign up to receive text messages and e-mail alerts for truck thefts and missing persons.
