The
Great American Trucking Show opens its fifth consecutive year on
Sept. 6-8 in Dallas. OOIDA will again join exhibitors and attendees.
Staff
members from OOIDA and Land Line Magazine will be on hand
with information and to answer questions at booth No. 1107.
The
show will also feature free seminar programs, industry networking,
a recruitment pavilion and the Internet and technology pavilion.
Also included will be special events, giveaways and a Pride &
Polish "Big Rig" truck beauty contest.
This
year, there will be plenty of truck parking in the Reunion Arena
parking lot adjacent to the Dallas Convention Center. The 20-acre
paved lot will be available all three days of the show.
ExpressTrucking.com
will once again sponsor the GATS Expedite Pavilion, providing a
focused environment for the expedited industry. The hub of the pavilion
will be The Expedite InfoCenter located in booth No. 637, where
ExpressTrucking.com will display its White Tiger Truck. This show
is planned to be the last public viewing of the truck.
The
Truck Writers of North America will host its first Fall Media Conference
Thursday, Sept. 25, at the Dallas Convention Center in conjunction
with GATS. The TWNA conference will cover topics of mutual interest
for working press and public relations professionals who cover the
trucking industry.
On
the lighter side, Diamond Rio will perform on Friday. Saturday’s
concert features Tracy Byrd. Tickets for both concerts will be distributed
at GATS on the day of the show, stating at 10 a.m. Tickets are free
to registered GATS attendees on a first-come, first-served basis,
while ticket supplies last.
Last
year, GATS drew industry professionals from all 50 states and 35
countries.
