A Kansas
police officer and member of the FBI drug task force was fired
Monday, July 15, after slamming into the rear of a tractor-trailer
over the weekend. The accident occurred when he was apparently
driving while intoxicated, according to a published report.
Edwardsville
Police Sgt. Jim Marble reportedly was off duty last Friday night
when his vehicle struck an eastbound semi that had stopped to
make a turn on Kansas 32 near Edwardsville. He reportedly was
driving a vehicle issued through the FBI drug task force.
The trucker
was not injured. Marble was treated at a local hospital for minor
injuries.
